Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m a nerd for pop culture. Working on SYFY’s social media has allowed me to create some fun work that would typically be out of my realm. I’m having a blast getting to work on SYFY original shows and classic movie franchises.

My role on the team is video editor, video captioner, and timestamp finder.

Here are some of my absolute favorite things that I have made so far!

Smash or Pass: Monster Edition

To poke fun at the Smash or Pass trend that was popular on Tiktok in Spring 2022, we decided to give it a SYFY take.

National Bartender Day with D’Arcy from Resident Alien

To celebrate National Bartender Day, I compiled clips of everyone’s favorite bartender, D’Arcy from Resident Alien, giving advice and living her best life as Patience, CO’s best bartender.

Inglorious Basterds - How to Speak Italian with Brad Pitt

To promote the SYFY’s airing of Inglorious Basterds, we took the infamous scene where Brad Pitt speaks Italian with an American accent and turned it into this hilarious “interview”

 Chucky Chant-A-Long

To promote a Chucky movie marathon, we compiled all the moments from the Chucky series where he uttered his infamous soul swapping chant.

SurrealEstate Fan Critic Reviews

SurrealEstate grew in popularity as it aired over the summer, so the team gathered fan comments from Twitter and compiled them into this trailer. I cut and captioned the clips from multiple episodes and put them together.

Die Hard Explosions

For a Die Hard movie marathon, we created a gamified story where fans could rate explosions from the Die Hard series.

Will Smith Comic Relief Quips

Will Smith is known for his hilarious quips in everything he’s starred in. For SYFY’s Happy Birthday, Will Smith marathon, I compiled some of most hilarious one liners from the movies that aired during the marathon.

Back To The Future - Nobody Calls Me Chicken!

Back To The Future is a legendary franchise and SYFY plays the trilogy in order during October. To get people excited, I pulled and cut the moments where Marty McFly’s least favorite phrase, “Chicken”, was uttered.

Day of the Dead - Interview with Zombies

SYFY’s newest show is inspired by George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead. We made this fun “interview” to show how the “cast” of zombies prepared for their role.
